The experience of SIADMacchine Impianti ‘s engineers has
resulted in a certified standard which can be adapted to the many
requirements of small, medium and large sized industries.
Perfect thermal insulation of the process gas lines ensures
that heat is not transmitted from the interior to the exterior or vice
versa during compression.
SIADMacchine Impianti’s experience and know-how in the
selection of critical components, including piping and cylinder
materials, piston rings, rider rings and piston rods, ensures reliable
construction and reduction of maintenance operations.
Suction and delivery valves are made of special alloy steel to
ensure the same mechanical characteristics of outstanding
strength, toughness and fatigue resistance even at very low
temperatures.
Sundyne
S
undyne process gas compressors have been used to handle
critical services for decades, delivering highly engineered
performance across a wide range of demanding applications.
With a wealth of experience providing custom engineered gas
compression solutions to clients around the world, Sundyne
offers a wide variety of compressors capable of fulfilling functions
throughout the LNG value chain.
The Sundyne LF-2000multi-stage centrifugal integrally
geared compressor, in particular, has found great success in LNG
production. This API-617 compliant model – capable of running
continuously for 5 years at a stretch, delivering oil-free process
gas with zero emissions – features a compact, space saving
footprint that can be easily packaged onto a skid for installation
into any process environment. Additionally, the LF-2000’s rugged
design allows for reliable, leak-free performance in even the
harshest operating conditions, allowing for operator peace of
mind.
The Sundyne LF-2000 is a highly reliable choice for delivering
high-head, low-flow gas compression in LNG-related
applications. Whether fulfilling regen duties in small to mid scale
operations, serving as a boil-off gas (BOG) or vapour return
compressor at a regasification terminal, or providing maximum
power and flexibility in a compact space on an offshore floating
LNG (FLNG) installation, the LF-2000 is able to handle the most
formidable tasks.
TMEIC
T
MEIC (Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corp.)
has supplied large motors and variable speed drives to the
LNG industry for more than 25 years. TMEIC has installations
worldwide, including compressor drives in major LNG projects
in Australia, Qatar, Indonesia, and NewGuinea. The company
provides high reliability, on-time delivery and strong product
execution.
TMEIC’s two-pole synchronous motors deliver up to
100MW, with variable speeds up to 6500 rpm for compressor
drives. Voltages up to 13.8 kV and explosion protection are
available, as are induction motors above 20MW, with speeds up
to 12 000 rpm.
TMEIC is a leading industry provider of large-scale variable
frequency drives (VFD). The company sizes its large drives using
power bank modules that allow the maximum power to be
delivered with the smallest footprint and highest availability.
These power banks are expandable, producing up to 120MWof
shaft power. The VFD allows the compressor speed to be
adjusted to meet changing process needs, and also provides for
the motor to be soft started.
Voith Turbo
T
he Vorecon variable speed planetary gear reaches a mean
time between failure (MTBF) value exceeding 48 years. The
Vorecon controls the speed of pumps, compressors, and fans
in the power range from 6 to 50MW. The new Vorecon with
dual torque converter is an excellent solution for operating
points that frequently fall within the speed range of 60 - 90%of
maximum speed. It offers very high efficiency, even down to the
lower speed range. The operator benefits from greater flexibility
with regard to operating characteristics and long-term planning
security. In addition, the Vorecon saves up to US$ 200 000 per
year in energy costs.
The BHS integral gear unit is a core component of an
integrally geared compressor. It is valued by many well-respected
original equipment manufacturers worldwide. This technology is
