Belgium support business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Neuman & Esser
N
EA LNG compressors cover the major applications for
handling LNG as well as for offshore and onshore plants
within the LNG chain. The NEA LNG send-out compressors
constantly boost the vaporised LNG up to 110 bar for all pipeline
networks. LNG fuelgas compressors fromNEA deliver the suction
pressure for injecting LNG boil-off for 2-stroke and 4-stroke
engines. To maintain the critical conditions within LNG tanks, NEA
LNG BOG compressors are used to manage reliable and efficient
boil-off of the LNG. They are available as small scale V-type or
mid-scale horizontal compressors with up to 4000 kg/h flow.
Neuman & Esser’s innovative concept to inject LNG after the
first compressor stage is an optimised solution for both the
start-up period and for continuous operation. Amajor advantage
is yielding a higher LNGmass flowwhilst power consumption
remains nearly constant. LNG capacity is controlled by injected
LNG flow and increased by 15%. Furthermore, NEA compressors
allow for quick compressor start-up, making pre-cooling of LNG
before feeding it into the compressor pipe system redundant.
Also, a heat exchanger for process gas is not required. All in all,
less investment in, and maintenance of, related system
components are required using NEA LNG BOG compressors.
Nikisso Cryo Inc.
N
ikkiso Cryo Inc. (NCI), located in North Las Vegas, Nevada, US,
is a leading supplier of cryogenic submerged electric motor
pumps used in the liquefied gas industry.
NCI’s innovative designs have resulted in the first application
of high pressure pumps for use on regasification LNG carriers, the
first and only cryogenic pumps installed on an LNG gravity based
structure (GBS), compact high flow pumps for the world’s largest
FPSO under construction, as well as compact, higher speed
pumps used for a variety of LNG, LPG and other applications.
NCI’s original technologies have led to an increase in
reliability that is unmatched by any other supplier, with
submerged motor cryogenic pumps operating up to
40 000 hours before maintenance is required.
By applying advanced technology to the pump hydraulics, NCI
has developed a compact, high flow design that can be applied to
the latest FPSO vessels for cargo offloading in a removable
configuration to allow for removal of the pump for maintenance
without the need to gas free the tanks. It includes an advanced
inducer design with a very high suction specific speed to allow the
liquid level to be pumped down to an extremely low level.
Schott
S
chott’s terminal headers will be onboard another floater.
Like other offshore units such as the
Prelude,
the ship will
be equipped with eternaloc penetrations. These hermetic
feedthroughs steadily supply electrical power to the LNG
pumps that are either submerged inside the cryogenic tank’s
containment structure or in their own suction vessel. Due to the
extreme operating environment, the quality and reliability of the
terminal headers is crucial for preventing leakage.
Based on compression glass-to-metal sealing, Schott
Eternaloc™ feedthroughs are maintenance-free and one of the
safest choices available. Essentially, they consist of only three
components, all of which are inorganic and therefore non-ageing:
metal conductors, a special glass sealant and a metal housing are
assembled and heated up to a temperature at which the glass
melts. Due to the higher coefficient of thermal expansion, the
metal housing contracts to a greater extent than the glass. This
creates a robust, compression-sealed unit that withstands
extremely high pressure and thermal shocks.
Eternaloc™ terminal headers are explosion-proof certifiable
according to the European ATEX directive, the international
standard IECEx, as well as local regulations such as KOSHA for
South Korea. In addition, Schott’s hermetic feedthrough
technology has a proven safety track record of more than
50 years in conventional and nuclear power plants.
SIAD Macchine Impianti
S
IAD Macchine Impianti is a leader in the production of
piston compressors for blowing PET bottles for the food
and drink sector, as well as API618 compressors and cryogenic
air separation units for the oil and gas industry and energy
sectors.
SIADMacchine Impianti can provide a skid-mounted solution
to facilitate installation and start-up, with special design for
installation and maintenance even in restricted spaces.
The technology has highly flexible control of gas flow and
temperature process variation. The typical compressor two-stage
design perfectly matches the needs of LNG.
Compressor cylinders are designed for high volumetric
efficiency and are suitable for thermal stresses coming from very
low suction temperatures (approximately -170°C).
