Inc. has been a leading manufacturer
of horizontal earthboring machines
and accessories. It offers nine different
models of boring machines, ranging
from a 12 in. hydraulic machine to a
72 in. diesel machine. Over the past
27 years, Bor-It has provided quality
products worldwide along with service
that is second to none. The company’s
goal is to provide its customers with the
right product to get the job done.
One of the company’s most
versatile machines is the Bor-It Model
60 “Destroyer”. The “Destroyer” has a
174 HP Deutz diesel engine with a five
speed transmission, offering a maximum
torque output of 144 203 ft/lbs with a
normal thrust of 1 million lbs. It is one of
the most popular machines sold worldwide
and bores a diameter range of 24 - 60 in.,
which meets most of the demand for
large projects. The horizontal earthboring
machine is designed to split three ways
for easy removal from the pit. This allows
for secure storage of the power pack
while leaving the bore set up undisturbed.
The machine has four hydraulic cylinders
with a 60 in. stroke to allow for further
advancement before retracting. A hydraulic
winch is included for fast retraction along
with a hydraulic activated push bar assembly.
The machine is provided with either a 4 in. or
5 in. hex drive.
Bor-It’s mid range machine is the Model
36 “Workhorse”. The “Workhorse” offers
a 60 HP Deutz diesel engine with a thrust
of 300 000 lbs. The machine splits for easy
movement, with the heaviest lift being 4325 lbs.
The Bor-It model 36 machine has a working range
of 12 in. to 36 in. diameter casing which offers you
versatility and reliability. This machine comes with a
3 in. hex drive and a hydraulic push bar assembly.
The Model 12 “Mighty Max” hydraulic machine
is ideal for small bores ranging from 4 - 12 in. dia.
The machine is run with a hydraulic power source
and is perfect for installing pipe under driveways,
walkways and all sorts of short distances. Weighing
only 690 lbs, it is the perfect solution for small utility
jobs.
Bor-It also manufactures auger and cutting heads
ranging from 4 - 72 in. dia. on all hex sizes. The company
only uses the best material available. Its auger is made
with DOM tube for uniform wall thickness throughout
the tube. The auger is also built with heat treated shanks
and overlapping flight for greater strength and longer life.
Bor-It offers cutting heads for all types of soil from dirt to
