Terramac provides parts and service support, as well
as custom fabrication and mounting services to install
a wide range of equipment and configurations on the
RT9. Addressing an increased demand for sandblasting
services, Marhofer said his company worked with
Terramac to build a specialised sandblast deck for the
RT9 that features an air compressor and sandblast pots.
Sideline Specialty Equipment is also developing an
add-on package for the RT9 for powering a pipe facing
machine. “We’re developing a hydraulics package to fit
on that. Combined with a crane, we’ll be able to do pipe
facing and counterboring with the RT9,” Marhofer said.
When fully loaded, the ground pressure on the RT9
is only 5.1 psi (0.36 kg/c2). Featuring a 10 ft (3 m) turning
radius, the rubber track crawler carrier has an overall
length of 20 ft (6 m), a width of 8 ft 5 in. (2.6 m), a height
of 9 ft 3 in. (2.8 m) and a minimum ground clearance of
20 in. (0.51 m). The unit can travel at speeds up to 6 mph
(10 kph).
“There’s a lot of demand for the RT9 crawler carrier
in areas where the ground conditions are softer,”
Marhofer said. “You can get around much easier in the
RT9 than in a steel track crawler or a truck. The flotation,
mobility and speed of the RT9 are huge advantages on
the job.”
Rollover protective structure (ROPS) and falling
object protective structure (FOPS) are standard on the
RT9 crawler carrier. Open and closed cab options are
available.
Terramac is supported by an expanding dealer
network equipped with product knowledge and expertise
in heavy equipment sales, rental and service.
